This work includes selections from festal sermons and commentaries by St. Athanasius, St. Cyril of Alexandria, St. John Chrysostom, St. Gregory Nazianzen, St. Basil the Great. the Scholar Origen, and many others.

This volume pays a special focus on the Commentary of the Gospel according to St. John by St. Cyril of Alexandria, the Pillar of Faith. With every effort possible we have included the complete texts of these patristic writings. Also included are several introductory articles on the Holy Fifty Days by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, entitled "Your Spirituality during the Holy Fifty Days;" an article regarding an overview of its readings, and a third article outlining the history of its liturgical celebration...
